HE USES WHO HE CHOOSES
Isaiah 45:1–13
Can God use someone who doesn’t even know Him? The answer may challenge the way you think about God’s power, purpose, and sovereignty.
In Isaiah 45:1–13, God calls Cyrus, a pagan king, His anointed instrument to accomplish His divine purpose. Cyrus didn’t have to be a prophet, a priest, or even a worshiper of the God of Israel for God to use him to fulfill His plans.
This passage reminds us that God is not limited by our expectations, our preferences, or the people we believe He should choose. He is the Creator, the Sovereign Lord, and the One who declares the end from the beginning.
In this message, we explore what happens when God chooses someone we never would—and why His purposes are bigger than our personal opinions. You may not understand whom God chooses.
You may not agree with His methods. But God’s sovereignty has never depended on our approval.
He uses who He chooses. The question is: Will we trust the God who chooses?
